Progress on Stair Railing

We are waiting on the Army Corp of Engineers to approve our efforts to replace broken granite steps at the entrance to the lighthouse. This is a slow process and any support from the public to the Army Corp of Engineers is appreciated.

Part of that project will be the replacement of the badly rusted stair railing which will be replaced with a new stainless steel railing. However, due to the uncertainty of when this project can begin we have contracted to have the existing railing sandblasted and painted in the interim. There is a great chance this effort will be complete by mid November.
